International Studies 101: EndNote - citing sources

Why Use EndNote?

EndNote is a great way to save time and reduce errors in the essential task of citing your sources.  By creating a free EndNote account, using your web-based account, and downloading a Microsoft Word plug-in (read below), you can:

  • Quickly track all your sources as you find them.
  • Sort them how you want (different topics within the same paper; or entirely different classes; etc.)
  • Insert them into your paper with a single click.
  • Format them into the citation style of your choice (make sure it's Chicago for this class!)

What is Endnote?

Endnote Web is an online tool that helps you:

  • Track papers you've read and group them by topic or assignment
  • Share citations with others
  • Create bibliograpies and easily cite in Microsoft Word
