ENG 303 - The Victorians : Beginning Your Search

Getting Specific

You will need at least 3 scholarly sources for your presentation. Here are a few specific online databases set aside to help you as you begin your search for scholarly information. Subject specific databases can help you narrow your search results down by searching through smaller, more defined indexes. (The Search WISE, powered by WorldCat, can suffer from information overload)

Primary Sources

You will need at least 1 primary/archival source for your presentation. Below is a list of a few databases and websites that archive documents from the 19th century. However, don't stop here. Keep searching for internet archives and see what you can find on your own, but don't forget to evaluate carefully.
