Faculty Library Resources: Requesting Books (and more!)

Useful services, resources, and helpful hints for faculty.

Introduction

If the libray doesn't have it, you can request it!

If there is a title (in any format) that should be permanently included in the McGill Library, A.V. Services Library, or Music Library collection, please place a request.

Placing a Request

To place a request for any title, simply fill out the online Resource Purchase Request form.

This form can be used to request all types of materials for all Westminster Libraries.  You will recieve confirmation when your request has been successfully submitted.

CHOICE Reviews

CHOICE Reviews Online is a resource that includes high-quality reviews of academic resources (usually books).  This online version takes the place of the paper CHOICE cards sent montly to departments in the past.  Instead, each member of each program/department will recieve a customized e-mail, which includes a link to a list of reviewed titles in their field.

Our new online subscription also gives you access to ALL reviews published in CHOICE since 1988.  These reviews are searchable online at choicereviews.org.

Requesting CHOICE Review Titles
